A single center for social services will appear in Almaty
21 may 2019

The governor of Almaty Bauyrzhan Baybek inspected the building where the Unified Center for Social Services will be located. After a major repair at the intersection of Abay and Dostyk Avenues, the social welfare and housing policy departments, as well as the Almaty Employment Center, will be placed in open space.

Currently, more than 300 thousand people live in the city, receiving various social services. Since they all turn out to be different institutions, often the population does not know about all their forms.

In a single center on the principle of "one window" will be provided, regardless of place of residence, more than 60 social services. For example, the privatization of housing from the state housing fund, the design of various social benefits, the application for prosthetic and orthopedic assistance, etc.

“As the Head of State said at one of the recent meetings, preventive work is needed in matters of countering corruption and improving the quality of public services. Not a resident should go for services, but services should come to him. At the same time, everything should be open and transparent, with the exception of any subjective factor. According to this principle, we have already started the Bakytty Otbasy , Mothers Support Center, Center of Active Longevity for Older People, the Urban Center and the Investment House, where the offices of leading IT and e-commerce companies will be located. A single contact center for communal issues will be created, ”said Bauyrzhan Baybek.

The transfer of the above departments and services to the communal building will provide annual savings of about 100 million tenge of budgetary funds.
