16 november 2019

The Akim of Almaty Bakytzhan Sagintayev with the Executive Director of the Fund of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy, Asset Issekeshev accepted the baton of the forum of talented youth "El Ymіtі".

The El Ymiti project will help select 1,000 talented, gifted, entrepreneurial young people across the country. As role models, they will encourage peers to strive for success, share their achievement experiences, help individuals believe in themselves, and mobilize talent.

“By revealing the success stories of each one of you, we are sending a message to all the youth of the country, telling them we need to constantly work on ourselves, attain new skills, be sociable and active. Take fate into your own hands, be leaders, set bold goals and achieve them, ”said Almaty akim Bakytzhan Sagintayev, addressing the forum participants.

About 700 thousand young people live in Almaty, that is, almost every third city dweller is a young adult. More than 230 thousand of them are students. They study at 39 universities and 81 colleges of the city.

“Talent and energy, creative abilities are the strongest competitive advantages of our city. We understand this and greatly appreciate it. Almaty solves the issues of young people: it hires, gives professional skills, and supports business initiatives. We will develop our city in such a way that the young generation will be able to realize their “Almaty Dream,” the city akim emphasized.

At the El Ymiti forum, active youth from the Almaty, Zhambyl, Turkestan regions, as well as from the cities of Shymkent and Almaty share the success they were able to achieve thanks to the support programs of the Elbasy in the fields of science and education, business and medicine, culture and sports, economy and public life.
