Additional quarantine measures are being developed in Almaty

The Akim of the city, B. Sagintayev, held a meeting during which questions on the execution of the instructions of the Head of State, on applying additional measures to counter the spread of coronavirus infection,  were considered.

 

During the meeting, the akim of Almaty, Bakytzhan Sagintayev, instructed to ensure the execution of these orders. In this regard, control over compliance with sanitary-epidemiological requirements in organizations, enterprises and business entities will be strengthened.

As Bakytzhan Sagintayev emphasized, one must learn to live and work under the strict quarantine measures and the interests of the city’s economy.

Meanwhile, a city plan for the protection of life and health for the medium term will be developed.

To date, 19 medical organizations have been involved in the treatment of Covid in Almaty, including 12 infectious diseases hospitals, with a total capacity of 2125 beds, three pharmacist centers, with a capacity of 985 beds, and four quarantine organizations with 1299 beds.

The workload of infectious hospitals is about 80%.

The total number of places in infectious, provisional and quarantine organizations are planned to be increased to six thousand.

Another plane with medicines landed at the Almaty airport today.
